Bakti Mulya 400 is an educational institution that emphasizes the challenging framework of the principle of agency, which underpins the three pillars of school life: international,nationalist, and Islamic values. We aim to foster practical connections between students’studies and the real world. Established in 1983, Bakti Mulya 400 has been committed to building holistic & inclusive educational community, fostering lifelong learning to meet the challenges of the contemp orary world, and cultivating an international mindset.

The high-quality educational system at Bakti Mulya 400 offers a program aligned with Indonesia’s cultural geography. We differentiate instruction to meet students’ diverse capabilities and needs, and our international program reflects the best educational research to address the challenges and opportunities of our rapidly changing world. We believe that providing the best curriculum, teaching and learning, resources, and assessment will encourage personal growth and well-being.

We embrace a student-centered approach, enabling students to construct knowledge, skills, and understanding across, between, and beyond subject areas through learning, development, behavior, and environmental stimuli. Students are encouraged to inquire and learn critical thinking and innovation to contribute to a better world, incorporating Islamic values both domestically and internationally.

We believe our learning and teaching approach is the best way to implement reflective practice for both students and facilitators to enhance learning. This is why our approaches—holistic and inclusive education, conceptual understanding, inquiry-based learning, STEM, project-based learning, design thinking, and critical thinking—are core to developing literacy and numeracy skills, fostering a deep understanding of knowledge, encouraging independent research, and undertaking community service projects. History
Bakti Mulya 400 Cibubur

The Bakti Mulya 400 Educational Cooperation Foundation (YBKSP) organizes education for all levels. In 1985, it established KB/TK Bakti Mulya 400 and SMP Bakti Mulya 400. In 1986, it founded SD Bakti Mulya 400, followed by SMA Bakti Mulya 400 in 1999. Bakti Mulya 400 schools were founded by the Family 400 Foundation and the Pondok Mulya Foundation. The Family 400 Foundation is an organization comprising former Student Soldiers of Battalion 400, Brigade 17, while the Pondok Mulya Foundation manages the Pondok Indah Real Estate.

The collaboration between these two foundations in the field of education was formalized through a cooperation agreement on September 30, 1983. The new name agreed upon for the joint foundation was the Bakti Mulya 400 Educational Cooperation Body, abbreviated as BKSP Bakti Mulya 400.

Bakti Mulya 400 Cibubur

By the end of 2025, Bakti Mulya 400 International School Cibubur will be fully authorized as an IB World School and nationally accredited. All students enrolled in our school come from diverse origins and backgrounds. Each student will be able to reflect knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that align with their needs and natural potential.

Circular Economy​

A call to action for IB World School

Bakti Mulya 400 supports SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting sustainability through a circular economy approach. Aligned with the IB mission, it fosters inquiring, caring individuals who explore real-world projects and environmental issues. Students apply circular economy concepts to prioritize human needs and ecosystem preservation.

The PYP integrates the circular economy through energy-saving, local food sourcing, and biodiversity projects like gardening and composting. Students engage in clubs, workshops, and initiatives like repair cafés, supported by local recycling and bike-sharing programs. This restorative system minimizes waste, keeps materials in use, and regenerates natural systems, promoting sustainability at home and school.

At Bakti Mulya 400 Cibubur, teachers inspire action by fostering play, curiosity, and teamwork through fun, meaningful, and achievable activities. They set measurable goals, connect learning to real life, and use technology to enhance student growth.

Behind the establishment of Bakti Mulya 400 School lies a story about the importance of collaboration. This collaboration became the spirit deeply embedded in the hearts of the school's founders. The background of the founders consists of two foundations: Ikatan Keluarga Batalyon 400 (IKEL 400) and Yayasan Pondok Mulya.

Initial Contribution to the community

The founders decided to form a new foundation that would represent the spirit of cooperation in the field of education, named Yayasan Badan Kerja Sama Pendidikan (YBKSP) Bakti Mulya 400. On September 30, 1983, this foundation was officially established as a foundation to create a school based on Islamic and national values.

Today, YBKSP Bakti Mulya 400 has been in existence for 40 years. Therefore, we should remember and honour the founding figures who have passed away, but left behind an unforgettable legacy of struggle.

We warmly welcome you to Bakti Mulya 400 Cibubur. The school was established in 1983 with the founding of KB/TK Bakti Mulya 400 and SMP Bakti Mulya 400. In 1986, SD Bakti Mulya 400 was founded, followed by SMA Bakti Mulya 400 in 1999. Compassion, empathy, and strong relationships within the Bakti Mulya 400 community have driven our growth, and today we are proud to serve over 1,200 students.

As education evolves, our passion for teaching continues to grow. Our students are on a journey of continuous learning, and we guide them to embrace challenges and take risks, preparing them for a successful future. This journey pushes our team to think creatively, critically, and innovatively in our teaching and learning approaches.

Our school community reflects who we are, guided by the Islamic values of the Al-Quran, which shape our actions, decisions, and interactions. With compassion, integrity, and respect, we aim to make a meaningful impact locally and globally.
